Well. So far I've only been on TV once, but it was in such a compassionate role that I feel confident that Doggywood is but a short way away. There was a full-length (2 minute) vignette on BBC1 Breakfast news (yes, terrestrial coverage) all about how I look after my poor deranged human, Marion. She's mentally ill. Depressed and a few more exotic things which I happened to overhear when I had my (beautiful, dangly, furry) ear pressed to the door when she was on the phone to her psychiatrist. Anyway, enough about her. Back to ME. That nice news announcer chap introduced the piece by explaining that I am Marion's 'Canine Carer'. Canine Carer! Yes indeedy. That's me. I was interviewed at home, and also shown walking down the street, which I do very well. They didn't show me dispensing medication, talking through complex relationship problems and creating advanced visualisation techniques. Duh - obviously not as I'm a dog so can't do those things. But I can give Marion nice licks and sleep in a very supportive way on the sofa while she works and this seems to be exactly what she needs from her canine carer.
